 Donner PassThe route made famous by the Donner Party wagon Train that got caught by a horrieble snow storm in the winter of 1846. Now the Union Pacific fights the snow every winter across this pass. There are several great locations around Norton, to watch the traffic. The eastbound grade toward the summit and tunnel is shown on the top map, and the westbound climb is shown on the lower map.
